The Prophecy is coming along, albeit a little bit at a time. I mostly type after the boys are in bed at night. Then of course getting the older one to stay in bed is a feat that takes some doing, and I usually turn in fairly early myself on the nights before my back to back 12 hour shifts at work. As a result, I wind up doing a lot more thinking about what I'd like to be writing than actually writing.
So progress is slow, but sure. Already the story has spanned three continents. Anna is not going to like what's coming up next very much, but a mama's gotta do what a mama's gotta do!

Well whaddya know?
I'm learning as I go in the industry of self-publishing. Add onto that the fact that I have two young children and a full time job to attend to in addition to my writing, and there is a tendency for my brain to try to go in multiple different directions all at once. As a result, I kind of got myself all confused when it came to offering The Sentient as a free kindle download for a limited time. I had one day left to make it free, and with a little help I went about it smarter this time.
I submitted the deal to some free advertising sites for the chance to have it featured. Freebooksy emailed me this morning to let me know they had handpicked The Sentient to be featured on their site today as available to be downloaded for free.
Thanks to some more efficient promo techniques this time around, the downloads today have sextupled the number from the last four free days combined.
And so this happened:
The Sentient is currently the #1 (free) best seller for metaphysical and visionary science fiction ebooks! And so far it has reached #150 for all free books in the kindle store.
Mwahahaha! READ, people, READ!
And then let me know what you think, please and thank you :)

I've added a link to the blog page for The Sentient. It brings you to a Pinterest board for images of things I had in mind when writing the book. For instance, when imagining Willow Glen Manor, I took inspiration from a few of the Vanderbilt estates, such as the one in Hyde Park, NY, and the Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina.
I also had a little fun choosing some actors to play the roles of a few of the characters in the movie adaptation I fully expect to see someday ;)
I'll share some here.
